Taking the antidote by yielding your life to the Lord is the first step in a spiritual journey. To be clear, that in itself is enough to guarantee your salvation because it is a completed work done by Christ for you. We still have to live in this corrupted world however until either the new day dawns or we leave the body.
God has a lot to offer in supporting us through this journey. You need to grow in the knowledge of God to take advantage of all what God has provided. The key is developing this new relationship with God.
The following will be of great help in developing your relationship with the Lord:
- Start communicating with Him in prayer
- Start reading the bible, the “manual” of our relationship with Him (consider it God’s Valentine’s card to us). A good place to start is the Gospel of John
- Start fellowshipping with other believers
