Victory In Jesus
Introduction
Life is full of battles. We have an enemy that wants to destroy us; John 10:10. God wants to save us, that is why Jesus came to redeem us. The enemy is determined
not to let you out of his prison; that is why he has strong guards assigned to keep people in bondage. Our victory lies in the help of God.
Victory is available in Christ but we need to take hold of it (Matthew 11:12). We need to fully identify with Jesus for him to be able to use His power fully on our behalf. Salvation becomes active in our life when we fully identify with Jesus.
Identifying With Jesus
The following are some the major ways we identify with Jesus:
1. Believe and confess Him as Saviour and Lord; Romans 10:9-10
2. Baptism – Mark 16:15-16
3. Restitution in faith – Luke19:1-10, Hebrew 11:6
4. Meditation- This involves not only reading the bible, but studying, ruminating
and appropriating it from within. Joshua 1:8, Romans 12:1-2, Psalm 1:1-3; John 8:31-32
5. Fellowship with the body of Christ – Hebrews 10;24-25; Ps 133:1-3
The more we identify with Jesus, the less accusation and justification
for affliction and bondage the enemy is able to bring against us; Psalm 91:14-16; 2 Corinthians 6: 17-18; Zechariah 3:1-7
