The so-called ‘Easter’ period is set aside to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. While commercialization and ‘tradition’ (egg-hunt, bunny, etc) have all but overshadowed the period, the original events being remembered (death and ressurrection of Jesus Christ) remain the most significant for mankind.
The point here is not to quarrel with the commercialization and ‘traditions’ but to highlight the real significance. This is very important because every man’s destiny hangs on that significance. And that is the fact that someone, the Almighty Creator Himself, gave the ultimate love gift. More importantly, He gave that love gift to you.
That gift is eternal life (see). What is eternal life and what does it benefit you? Who wants to live forever anyway? Well, eternal life here does not necessarily mean living forever. The fact is that you, as a human being, are a spirit being living in a body. When you die the real you – the spirit – leaves the body. The real you never really dies, never ceases to exist; you only leave your body and go somewhere else. You are therefore already an eternal being.
There is a Creator; God is real. He created man pure in the begining, but a destructive “virus” called sin entered into the system (blood-line) of man through disobedience. You as a human being inherited this “virus” and this “virus” leads to destruction. This “virus” is a virus of the soul (see) and it has far-reaching effects, effects that reach beyond the grave.
There is a recreation that is going to happen. Careful observation of this world will show you that things are not exactly the way they should be. That is because the “virus” that entered the world entered and corrupted not only man’s system, but all other systems in the world (see). The whole structure is crumbling. God is going to ensure that this virus does not enter into the new world he is setting up (see). All contaminated beings will be discarded along with the source of the virus itself (see).
It is therefore vital that you be freed from this virus. The good news is that there is an “antidote” for this virus and it is freely available for everyone. That is the greatest gift we have been referring to. The blood of Jesus Christ shed for the cleansing of our sins. It takes blood and death to remove sin (see).
Even better, Jesus rose from the dead the third day, having completed this operation for us. Now death has no more power over Him, the same way death will have no more power over those who take this antidote.
Note that God does not force-feed this antidote. He makes it available; He has given it to you and you will have to receive it and “swallow” it. Participating in the new world that God is setting up is by choice. The things of God are always by choice; God never forces us. That is because He made us human beings, meaning we have the power and prerogative to will and decide what we want.
Yes, we are sometimes weak and powerless to effect the changes we want, but we can decide. When we decide, God is given the “right” to come in and assist us. God is a law-abiding God; with all His power, He is not “allowed by law” to come in without consent. He needs the consent (see).
