More About Jesus!
"Antidote" (continued from previous page) Home
How do you receive or "swallow" this "antidote"? Similar to how the first man contracted the "virus". By believing and obeying God's command to repent and believe (see). That simply means to:
- Have a change of heart and to believe that Jesus shed His blood and died for your sin, and that He rose from the dead (see).
- Ask God to forgive your sin and cleanse you (see).
- Come under the authority (and therefore protection) of Jesus Christ by asking Him to be your Lord (see).
All this can be done in a simple prayer:
"Father God I thank you for your love for me. I accept your word that I am a sinner in need of salvation. I accept your gift of salvation to me through the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, His death and resurrection. Let that blood cleanse me from the virus of sin and all its effects and consequences. Make me part of your new creation. I ask that Jesus Christ would become my Lord, the authority over my life. Reveal yourself to me and help me live the life you want me to, as from today. Thank you Lord. I ask in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen."
One important part is to do this with all seriousness, not just going through the motions. The things of the soul work with conviction. God looks at the heart, not the face.
